Greetings! My name is Nicola and you have found my site for Maximilien de Robespierre the greatest figure from the French Revolution!
My aim is to present a truthful and informative account of his life and works that will show what Maxim was really like and refute many of the slanderous claims against him that have survived since his death. Maxime de Robespierre was a good and virtuous man who simply made a few mistakes!
If there is anyone out there who speaks both English and French fluently and would be interested in helping translate some of Maxime's speeches (with full credit on the site) please do contact me.
This is a non-profit site that I run simply to show my appreciation for Robespierre. I claim copyright on the layout and some of the images but do not own copyright on other images, speeches etc. These have been gathered from friends, from around the internet and from the "Oeuvres de Maximilien Robespierre" (by the Societe des etudes robespierristes). 21/04/07 - Sorry for the lack of updates recently - I've sadly been too busy to do any further translations etc. I am out of the country from July 2007 till March 2008, but just to let you all know that the site will remain up and running (barring any technical problems of course) while I am away.
